“THE TEAHOUSE OF THE AUGUST MOON” by John Patrick
June 8 – 18
This classic comedy won a Pulitzer Prize, a Tony and a Critic’s Circle Award. It follows the career of an Army of Occupation officer stationed in a remote village in Okinawa. His duty is to teach democracy to the natives and boost their economic independence by manufacturing local goods. When he suddenly finds himself in possession of a real live Geisha girl, the young officer decides to follow the advice of his best boy and open a teahouse to pedal the natives’ most popular concession, potato brandy. Of course, the grand opening of the teahouse is the moment chosen by a bumbling Colonel for a surprise inspection!

“TAFFETA MEMORIES” by Rick Lewis
 July 5 – 23
Imagine if one of the most popular girl groups of the ‘60’s reunited today. You’d have the off-Broadway hit musical, “Taffeta Memories,” a rollicking evening filled to the brim with nostalgic tunes like “Mr. Sandman,” “Sh-Boom,” “Volare” and a Hawaiian medley that will knock your lei for a loop! Amy Knutson, Marty Mazurek, Lisa Rost and June Syvrud bring the tight four-part harmony to life, with musical accompaniment by Deda Voss and Diane Torres. A most delightful evening that Time Magazine says “…will keep you entranced!”
June Syvrud, Marty Mazurek, Amy Knutson and Lisa Rost all appear in the 50's 4-part harmony musical "Taffeta Memories" July 5th through July 23rd.

“MOON OVER THE BREWERY” by Bruce Graham
July 26 – Aug. 6
A touching, gently humorous study of a precocious teenager’s ‘coming of age.’ Miriam, a single mother working as a waitress in a Pennsylvania coal-mining town, moonlights as a painter while searching for Mr. Right. To date, all efforts have failed, thanks to daughter Amanda and her 160 IQ. Oh yes – and Amanda’s imaginary friend, Randolph. That, of course, all changes when Warren Zimmerman, an unprepossessing mailman, comes to call. A truly charming modern romantic comedy with a timely message.
Christa Salomon and John Bruggeman star in this romantic comedy.

“THE VOICE OF THE PRAIRIE” by John Olive
Aug. 9 – 27
Set in the early days of radio, this enchanting comic romance begins in the early 1890’s as an old hobo named Poppy by his avid companion, young Davey Quinn, is spinning a tall tale. Years later, Davey is discovered by a radio entrepreneur while he is telling stories about Poppy and Frankie, a blind girl he rescued from a cruel father. Quinn becomes famous on radio as The Voice of the Prairie. When Frankie reenters his life, the play takes a twist that reviewers call “endearing first-rate entertainment.”
Mike Lozar stars in this comic romance.
